Things to Do Around Joshua Tree
Lunches
If you're prepping to explore the many things to do around Joshua tree, be sure to fuel-up at one of these grab-and-go lunch locations. These are all on your way in and out of Joshua Tree National Park, and a short walk from our meeting spot at the JTNP Visitor’s Center. Consider showing up a little early to pick up a high quality lunch for your day in the park.
Camping
We highly recommend that you reserve a campsite ahead of time. During the fall and spring high season, the NPS reservation-only campsites can sell out up to a year in advance! There are also walk-up sites available on a first come, first serve basis, and those are easiest to snag mid-week. For other ideas on the best place to camp in Joshua Tree, see what you can find on the Recreation.gov website or check out Hipcamp for a last minute solution. If you are looking for a glamping option in upscale Airstream trailers, checkout AutoCamp!
Lodging
There are numerous lodging options in Joshua Tree and the surrounding area, but we always recommend you book as far in advance as you can, as things do book up quickly. There are a plethora of options on Airbnb and VRBO, but some of our favorite local hotels include The Joshua Tree Inn, Mojave Sands, and the 29 Palms Inn.
