Cancellation Policy

Mojave Guides is a very small business and we will be “sold out” most dates throughout our season. On a typical season we staff about 8 guides who have committed their lives to an often challenging career path of seasonal employment in the outdoors. When you make a reservation with us, your guide is automatically assigned to the program and they will begin making arrangements in their personal life to be able to hang out with you. They often begin logistically and physically preparing for their time with you as soon as they are assigned.

As such, Mojave Guides has a strict cancellation policy.

All of our programs require a 50% non-refundable, but transferable, deposit at the time of booking.
Once a reservation is made, you have until 24 hours before your scheduled start time to reschedule to any available date (up to two years from the original program date).
Within 24 hours of your scheduled start time, rescheduling is no longer an option and cancellation will result in forfeiture of your deposit.

In rare instances Mojave Guides may need to cancel or reschedule your program. This could be due to a staff illness (again, on most dates all of our guides will be assigned to other programs), truly unsafe weather (we still climb/hike and have fun in less than desirable, but safe, conditions), NPS closures, global pandemics, etc. Should we need to cancel your program before it starts we will offer to reschedule you to an available date, or provide you with a full refund of your deposit. In an even more rare occasion your guide may choose to end your program early due to truly unsafe environmental conditions, to help with a nearby emergency, or otherwise. Should this happen and you are not completely satisfied with your experience please reach out to our office to discuss an appropriate recourse which may be a pro-rated refund or credit to a future date.
